Well, of those on that list, I would say that these are worth seeking out:

    Kill Bill Vol. 1
    Donnie Darko
    Spirited Away
An Affair To Remember (this is a major chick flick)
    North By Northwest (MUST SEE!)
    Heavenly Creatures
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (My favorite movie in AGES.)
Run Lola Run (One of my favorite movies, period.)
    Secretary
    Roger and Me
    Fahrenheit 9/11
    Bowling for Columbine

I hadn't even heard of The Eye, so feel unqualified to have an opinion, and while I'm sure Requiem for a Dream is brilliant, it looked like a headache causer to me. The Michael Moore's should not be watched in a chunk. Roger and Me is a classic and I think Fahrenheit is one too, though it's a little early to say that. Bowling for Columbine is good, but less essential. Someone will no doubt disagree.
